《汉语时光》（Mandarin Moments）创立于 2023 年，最初是一份由学生自主运营的双语杂志，旨在为中文学习者提供走出课堂、真实运用语言的机会。通过写作、采访与创意项目，学生展示了自身的语言发展、文化理解与个人成长。

       在短短两年内，《汉语时光》从一份校园刊物成长为一个连接社区的平台。学生在与同伴、教师及本地机构的合作中，逐步培养了写作、采访、编辑、设计、协作与领导力等多方面能力。这些经历也帮助学生认识到，语言不仅是交流的工具，更是一座连接人与社区的桥梁。

       随着项目不断发展，团队逐渐意识到建立可持续结构的重要性，以支持项目的长期成长。2025 年春，《汉语时光》开启了新的篇章——汉语教育基金会正式成立。作为一个非营利组织，汉语教育基金会致力于推动中文教育、青少年领导力发展以及跨文化理解。

        如今，《汉语时光》仍然是汉语教育基金会的核心项目。基金会通过学生主导的出版项目、文化活动、交流项目与服务学习，持续为学生创造更多实践机会。尽管机构名称发生了变化，其初心始终未变：支持学生有目的地使用语言，服务社区，并在课堂之外建立真实而有意义的连接。

     

       Mandarin Moments was launched in 2023 as a student-run bilingual magazine created to give Mandarin learners meaningful opportunities to use language beyond the classroom. Through writing, interviews, and creative projects, students showcased their language development, cultural understanding, and personal growth.

       Within two years, Mandarin Moments grew from a small campus publication into a community-connected platform. Students developed skills in writing, interviewing, editing, design, collaboration, and leadership while engaging with peers, educators, and local organizations. These experiences helped students realize that language is not only a tool for communication, but also a bridge that connects people and communities.

       As the project expanded, the team recognized the need for a sustainable structure to support long-term growth. In the spring of 2025, Mandarin Moments entered a new chapter with the establishment of the Mandarin Future Foundation (MFF), a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing Mandarin education, youth leadership, and cross-cultural understanding.

       Today, Mandarin Moments remains the core project of MFF, while the foundation continues to expand opportunities for students through student-led publications, cultural programs, exchanges, and service-learning experiences. Although the organization’s name has evolved, its purpose remains the same: to empower students to use language with purpose, serve their communities, and create meaningful connections beyond the classroom.
